Thanks so much to all of the creatives who made it out to the September Made in Mind Social! With Fall just around the corner, we thought it would be a great time for an outdoor garden party, so we partnered up with fellow entrepreneurs and two of the most passionate gardeners we know, Megan McHugh and Denise Richter, owners of Pistil + Stamen.
Pistil + Stamen is a flower farm and studio that grows their own flowers and designs unique arrangements for weddings and events. When they recently announced that they will be adding flower workshops to the mix, so we just had to get a taste of what they offer. Megan and Denis hosted us in their urban garden for a fresh flower boutonniere and barrette making workshop.
The first 15 guests to arrive received Made In Mind canvas totes courtesy of Tiny Buffalo Clothing!
After the demo, guests had a chance to pick their own flowers and worked on their project while networking with other creatives. Emily Shaya from Pret a Fete provided us with unique vintage tables to work on from her collection of rentable event furniture.
A million thanks to Sarah Becker Photography for artfully capturing all of the creative moments and details from the event. Sarah Becker is an active member of the creative community and is a top wedding photographer who specializes in plantation and historic site weddings.
Locally Preserved wrapped up the event on a sweet note. They provided each guest with a jar of their flavored simple syrups (mint, lavender and hibiscus) gift. They offer locally made fruit syrups, sweetless jams and pepper jellies made in small batches.
Three piece band Rouxehambeaux filled the garden with tunes.
Thanks to Ciera Design, Kristy Oustalet and Tey Steitler for organizing it all! It was great meeting new people and seeing all of our creative friends! If you would like to hear about future events, click here to get Made in Mind updates and connect with us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
