Thanks so much for all the NOLA creatives who made it to the letterpress workshop… it was one of our most popular events to date! It wouldn’t have been nearly as successful without you bringing your enthusiasm to learn a little letterpress, ambition to make new biz connections and talking shop.
The Grove Street Press owners: cousins Kate and Anna (plus Mildred the shop Labradoodle) blew us away with not only graciously hosting us in their crush-worthy space, but also taught us a bit about letterpress. They led us through a demo then gave everyone a chance to crank the press and leave with a print.
These two are always working on new designs for their online shop and local letterpress workshop/retail space in the CBD. Be sure to check them out and snag yourself a print.
Are you swooning over these photographs yet? Kaylynn Marie Photography snapped the pics for us at the event. You’ll find her around town shooting indy, fashion forward wedding photographs.
Ashlee Arceneaux, also known as Small Chalk, is a local lettering artist, illustrator and sign maker for hire. Ashlee’s work has quickly become a staple at our events because her signage adds just enough info with a creative touch to showcase our sponsors and what to expect from our events.
Thanks to Ciera Design and Kristy Oustalet for organizing it all! It was great meeting new people and seeing all of our creative friends! Check out #madeinmindsocial on Instagram to see attendees photos!
St. Clair Pizza rolled up to the event with their charming wood fire pizza food truck. Follow them on social media (@StClairPizza) to try their authentic gourmet pizza and get tips to where they’ll be popping up next.
Made in Mind Social is a local group of New Orleans creative types that gather every other month to meet other likeminded creatives, learn about other local businesses and collaborate on future projects. If this sounds like you, we’d love for you to come to our next event.
